Next Sunday following the service we will celebrate our annual Stewardship Drive with a Thanks for Giving Breakfast put on by the Church Council. We have all been blessed with many gifts. As Peter 4:10 noted " Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms."

Thanks to all who shared their gifts today, Pastor O, Daryl, our Acolytes, and all who brought delicious food for Fellowship.

Day Two: lots and lots of walking! ... See MoreSee Less

Tour of Old Jerusalem: we began with a tour of the Al-Aqsa mosque and Dome on the Rock, which stands on what was believed to be the Temple Mount by Herod the Great. Then to the Bethesda pools at St Anne's (John 5), and the Church of the Holy Sepulcher. Shared lunch and conversation with Bishop Munib Younan of the ELCJHL. Then tours of the Muslim, Armenian, and Jewish quarters, finishing at the wailing wall. Dinner with new friends from the Lutheran World Federation. Then Advil. Lots and lots of Advil.

Holy Land Day One ... See MoreSee Less

Upon arrival at Ben Gurion Airport in Tel Aviv, you are welcomed at the customs gate with beautiful mosaic replicas...and a five Foot mezuzah! First night dinner at a Palestinian owned restaurant called Askadinya (Italian Food), then off to the guest house at LWF Victoria Hospital.

In the last week or so...we celebrated the 500th anniversary of the Reformation, had a Trunk or Treat event (fun even though it rained a little) the women of the Church had a retreat at Camp Calumet, we welcomed new members, Samantha, Rebecca, and Aaron. Honored the Saints, and Dana was an acolyte for the first time. Let's not forget that the Boy Scouts brought a truck load of food to the Bread of Life Food Pantry! ... See MoreSee Less
